LIFETIME FREE RE-PLATING POLICY
Last Updated: [06/09/2026]
At MIRAYA, we want our jewellery to remain beautiful for as long as possible. This Lifetime Free Re-plating Policy explains the complimentary re-plating service available for eligible MIRAYA jewellery purchased directly from MIRAYA.
This Policy should be read together with MIRAYA’s Terms & Conditions and Return, Refund & Exchange Policy.
1. Lifetime Free Re-plating
Eligible MIRAYA jewellery may receive free re-plating for the lifetime of the product, subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions of this Policy.
“Free re-plating” means that MIRAYA will not charge the customer for the applicable re-plating service/labour for an eligible product.
The customer remains responsible for applicable shipping, courier or transportation costs associated with sending the jewellery to MIRAYA and receiving it back.
2. Eligibility
The re-plating service is available only for:
-
Eligible MIRAYA jewellery purchased directly from MIRAYA;
-
Products that can reasonably be re-plated; and
-
The original product associated with a valid MIRAYA purchase/order record.
MIRAYA may verify the original purchase using the order number, customer details, invoice, order history or other reasonable proof of purchase.
3. What the Service Covers
The service is intended to restore or refresh the applicable external plating/coating of an eligible jewellery product.
The service does not mean that the jewellery will remain permanently free from natural wear, fading, scratches or other changes caused by use.
The frequency with which re-plating may be required depends on factors including usage, skin contact, perspiration, friction, chemicals, moisture, storage and care.
4. What Is Not Covered
Lifetime Free Re-plating does not cover the cost of repairing or replacing physical or structural damage.
The following are generally outside the scope of the free re-plating service:
-
Breakage;
-
Bending or deformation;
-
Dents;
-
Cracks;
-
Broken clasps, chains, hooks or components;
-
Deep scratches or significant abrasion;
-
Damage caused by impact or accidents;
-
Damage caused by improper handling or storage;
-
Unauthorised repairs, alterations or modifications; or
-
Other physical or structural damage.
MIRAYA may, where feasible, separately offer repair or replacement services at an applicable charge.
5. Chemical Exposure and Improper Use
Perfume, deodorant, cosmetics, lotions, creams, hair spray, sanitiser, alcohol-based products, cleaning agents, chlorine, swimming-pool water, salt water, prolonged moisture and similar substances may accelerate plating wear.
Prolonged or excessive exposure to perspiration and friction may also accelerate wear.
Such wear is not, by itself, considered a manufacturing defect and does not prevent a customer from requesting re-plating where the product otherwise remains eligible under this Policy.
6. Product Care
To help extend the life of the original plating between re-plating services, customers should:
-
Put on jewellery after perfume, deodorant, lotion and cosmetics have dried;
-
Avoid direct contact with chemicals and cosmetic products;
-
Remove jewellery before bathing, swimming, exercising or similar activities;
-
Avoid chlorine, salt water and prolonged moisture;
-
Avoid excessive rubbing or friction;
-
Store jewellery separately in a clean, dry place, preferably in its pouch or box; and
-
Gently wipe the jewellery with a soft, dry cloth after use where appropriate.
Product-specific care instructions should be followed where provided.
7. Re-plating Request Process
To request free re-plating, the customer should contact MIRAYA through the official contact details or process provided on the website.
MIRAYA may request:
-
Order number or proof of purchase;
-
Photographs or videos of the jewellery;
-
Product details; and
-
Other information reasonably required to assess eligibility.
The customer may be required to send the jewellery to MIRAYA for physical inspection and re-plating.
8. Assessment Before Re-plating
MIRAYA may inspect the jewellery before approving the re-plating service.
The purpose of inspection may include confirming:
-
That the product is a genuine eligible MIRAYA product;
-
That the product can reasonably undergo re-plating;
-
The condition of the jewellery; and
-
Whether physical damage or other circumstances require treatment outside the complimentary re-plating service.
A request for re-plating does not automatically guarantee approval.
9. Shipping and Transportation Costs
The re-plating service/labour is free for an eligible product.
The customer is responsible for applicable shipping or transportation costs for sending the jewellery to MIRAYA and receiving the re-plated jewellery back.
MIRAYA may provide shipping instructions or designate an appropriate courier process.
The customer is responsible for securely packing the jewellery in accordance with MIRAYA’s instructions.
10. Condition of Jewellery
MIRAYA may refuse or defer re-plating where the jewellery is structurally unsafe, severely damaged, materially altered or otherwise unsuitable for the process.
Where practical, MIRAYA may inform the customer if the product requires paid repair, replacement or another solution before or instead of re-plating.
11. Re-plating Does Not Extend or Restart Other Policies
Receiving a re-plating service does not restart or extend the original return period or create a new return period.
The Lifetime Free Re-plating service is separate from MIRAYA’s Return, Refund & Exchange Policy.
A customer cannot claim a refund merely because re-plating has been requested or previously provided.
12. No Automatic Replacement or Cash Refund
Lifetime Free Re-plating is a service benefit and is not a guarantee of cash refund or automatic replacement of the jewellery.
Where a product cannot reasonably be re-plated because of structural damage, severe deterioration, discontinued components, safety concerns or other legitimate reasons, MIRAYA may determine an appropriate alternative solution, subject to applicable law.
13. Non-Transferability
The Lifetime Free Re-plating benefit is linked to the eligible MIRAYA product and the original purchase.
It is not intended to be sold, transferred or converted into cash.
14. Third-Party Repairs and Modifications
Unauthorised third-party repair, replating, modification, chemical treatment or alteration may affect the condition or re-plating eligibility of the product.
MIRAYA may inspect such products and may decline complimentary re-plating where the third-party treatment has materially affected the product or made safe/proper re-plating impractical.
15. Service Availability
Re-plating is subject to the technical feasibility of the product and the availability of the applicable service.
MIRAYA may modify its internal re-plating process, logistics arrangements or service method from time to time, while continuing to honour applicable rights and commitments relating to eligible purchases.
16. Policy Updates
MIRAYA may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in its products, operations, service process or applicable legal requirements.
The latest version will be published on this page with the updated “Last Updated” date.
17. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any consumer right or legal remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or waived under applicable law.
